We integrate different approaches in our work. We combine reflection on minimal ethics that persons, social organisations, public institutions and companies should observe through promotion of social policies and practices that contribute to the comprehensive development of people and societies.
Since its origins in the 1993/1994 academic year, the Ethics Seminar has raised social problems with an ethical backdrop at the University. In December 2009, the Centre for Applied Ethics was created, affording the possibility to design and run postgraduate programmes, and placing greater emphasis on research and knowledge transfer. In 2010, the team was recognised by the Basque Government.
