Undergraduate Tutorials

Beginning your university studies is not easy, and you may run into different academic or career-related problems during this time. For this reason, the tutorials offered by the UD provide you with the support and guidance you need to ensure academic success and personal well-being.

Tutorials

University tutorials consist of guidance provided by academic tutors, focusing on forming all- round individuals and fostering students’ personal and academic development.
Tutorials ensure that your individual needs are met during your university studies. Based on personal and group attention, this ensures the quality of our students’ education.

As stated in Royal Decree 1791/2010 of 30 December, all university students are entitled to tutorials and guidance services, and this is especially important in our university, faculty and degree programmes.

The tutorial programme focuses on academic guidance in which students are assigned a faculty advisor for each year of study. They assist with administrative matters, give students information on the degree programmes, and how the university is organised and advise them about electives.

Specific action plan for first year

There is a specific action plan for first year, an adaptation course for students, which is carried out in tutorial rooms throughout the year. The main focus areas include:

  • Being a university student. University life
  • Professional aims
  • Academic difficulties
  • Alternative solutions
  • Future prospects

While the programme seems to focus mainly on academics, personal and professional guidance, there are also two main aspects that advisors seek to assist students with. During this entire process, the University Guidance Service, other services and the staff from the Dean’s Office also work with faculty advisors and students.

Student Services Office

The Student Services Office looks to respond to any extracurricular needs that students may encounter.
