European Master in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA)

The E.MA is a joint Master's degree programme held in coordination with 41 European Union universities. The University of Deusto participates through the Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute.
This interdisciplinary programme reflects the ties between human rights, democracy, peace and development. Students will be afforded the opportunity to meet and study with leading experts in Law, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology and Philosophy in an international environment.
The programme focuses on training high level professionals for the fields of human rights and democratisation. Graduates will be equipped to work in education, management positions in inter-governmental, governmental and non-governmental organisations.
Some 90 students coming from every continent will spend the first semester at the European Inter-University Center for Human Rights (Venice, Italy) and will choose one of the 41 EMA network member universities to study during the second semester.
