Humanitarian Action and Human Rights Yearbook What stands out from the Institute's diffusion programme is the wide variety of publications. In recent years the Institute has turned into a reference point for material published in the sphere of human rights. Publications can be found in Spanish, Basque and English. The following are the Institute's current lines of publication:

  • Basic Texts on International Humanitarian Assistance and Development
    This collection composes texts produced within the framework of the Master's Degree in International Humanitarian Action. It includes original relevant texts focusing on various aspects affecting international humanitarian action.
  • Monographs on Human Rights
    This collection reaps the rewards of specific work carried out by research teams and doctoral theses on human rights and their being respected in social reality. The aim of this line is to offer society extensive studies on human rights which are characterised by their academic rigour.
  • Deusto Booklets on Human Rights
    These booklets, suitable for wider circulation and of a reduced format, are intended to reach a relatively widespread public and to provide them with original thought-provoking works in Basque and Spanish on topical matters concerning human rights. Five booklets are published per year.
  • Humanitarian Action and Human Rights Yearbook
    The aim is to provide a space for reflection and exchange in matters concerning work, practical experiences and research carried out in the sphere of Humanitarian Action and Human Rights is made possible.
  • 2004 Yearbook on Humanitarian Action and Human Rights
  • Public Assessment by the Institute of Human Rights of the Situation of Human Rights in the Basque Country
    This document contains the Institute's opinions and standing points on the fulfilment of human rights at the heart of Basque society.

  • Collaborations with Deusto Forum
    The Deusto Forum collection gathers specially the cycles of conferences that this Forum of the University organizes on the most relevant social questions. Some of the contents of this collection are issued in collaboration with the Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights: Oraá Oraá, J y Gómez Isa, F. (1997), La Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos. Un comentario en su 50 aniversario Ian Brownlie, Mohamed Bedjaoui, Thomas Buergenthal, Patrick Thornberry, Victoria Abellán, Theodor Meron y Pierre Sané (entre otros múltiples autores de relevancia internacional) (1999), Los derechos humanos en un mundo dividido
  • Collaborations with HumanitarianNet
    The Institute publishes works in collaboration and co-edition with other institutions. It has a joint publication with the Thematic Network on Humanitarian Development Studies and which brings together over 190 European academic institutions specialising in human rights and humanitarian studies.
