The University of Deusto will be hosting, again this year, the 2nd Basque Philosophy Olympiad.

On 17 January, Deusto will be hosting the Basque Philosophy Olympiad for the second running year. This will be the regional final of a state-level event that will be held in Galicia this year. The winners of the regional tests will meet and measure their philosophical skills in the city of Santiago de Compostela on 24 and 25 April 2020. In both phases, the theme chosen for all categories (philosophical dissertation, moral dilemma, photography and video) is the "Power of Myth".

This year, the Olympiad will have a large number of participants in all its categories: 61 baccalaureate students for the philosophical dissertation category, 30 secondary students for the moral dilemma category, 54 for photography and 83 for philosophical video (both categories are aimed at 3rd and 4th-year ESO and Bachillerato students). Overall, the number of participating schools will amount to around twenty.
The awards ceremony of this 2nd Basque Philosophy Olympiad, which will determine the finalists who will compete in the national final, will be held on 13 March at the University of Deusto.
