Ana Isabel Recalde Delgado holds a BA in Philosophy and Arts (Philology section, Hispanic subsection) and a PhD in Philosophy and Arts (Philology section, Hispanic subsection) from the University of Deusto. She is currently a Tenured Full-Time Lecturer with PhD at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Donostia campus.She teaches BA courses in Communication. Specifically, she teaches the following subjects: Theory of Information and Communication I and II; Spanish as a foreign language (Exchange programme). Her publications focus mainly on semantics and analysis of discourse. In recent years she has been working on analysis of meteorological discourse; gender discourse (politics and sport). She forms part of the Communication research team (Communication, discourse and values). Her other areas of research interest are Basque exile and film; literary discourse.
