Izaskun Sáez De La Fuente Aldama
PhD in Sociology and Political Science on the Expert Diploma in Organisational Ethical Management. She lectures on undergraduate programmes on Critical Choices against Social Life and Civic and Professional Ethics in the Human Values Education Module and Contemporary Political Theories from a Justice Perspective on the Master’s in Ethics for Social Construction, of which she is currently Director. She is a member of the Centre of Applied Ethics (CEA) and its research team on Ethics applied to social reality. Her research focuses on socio-political ethics and, particularly, on victims’ perspective in situations of conflict and violence, with special emphasis on gender-related issues
Francisco Javier Arellano Yanguas
Lecturer, researcher and current Director of the Centre for Applied Ethics at the University of Deusto. His work over the last few years has focused on the governance of natural resources, social conflicts, decentralisation processes, political role of civil society and social movements and the relationship between fiscal policies and development. He has conducted most of his research work in Andean countries. He has also worked on the promotion of development processes in other Latin American countries and India. Between 1996 and 2006, he was director of Alboan and has worked as a consultant for several international institutions over the last few years.
Pedro Manuel Sasia
Graduate in Chemistry and PhD in Macromolecular Chemistry, University of the Basque Country. He is currently a lecturer (PhD) at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. He teaches on the Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and the Master’s in Ethics for Social Construction and International Humanitarian Action. His publications mainly focus on Applied Ethics. Over the last few years, his work has focused on the Organisational Ethics, Economic Alternatives and Solidarity Economy. He is a member of the Ethics Applied to the Social Reality research team, recognised by the Basque Government. His research interests also include Ethical Banking and Business Ethics.
Igor Irigoyen Fuentes
BA in Law, Master’s in Strategies, Actors and Policies for Development Cooperation from the University of the Basque Country (2006), Master’s in Management of Non-Profit Entities from the Open University of Catalonia (2011) and Master’s in Social Doctrine of the Church from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (2013). He was Director of Development Cooperation of the Basque Government (2001-2009) and, at present, in addition to being the General Coordinator of the Itaka-Escolapios Foundation, he is a member and collaborator of Fiare-Banca Ética, participating in various spaces.
