María Jesús Korkostegi Aranguren holds a BA in Philosophy and Arts (Philology section, Hispanic subsection) and a PhD in Philosophy and Arts (Philology section, Hispanic subsection) from the University of Deusto. She is currently Lecturer with PhD at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Donostia campus.She teaches BA courses in Communication. Specifically, she teaches the following subjects: Theory of Information and Communication II (Basque); Communication Skills (Spanish); Spanish as a foreign language (Exchange programme). Her publications focus mainly on philological analysis of texts on the area of the “vasco-románico” and on analysis of discourse on gender issues. In recent years she has been working on analysis of gender discourse (gender violence, politics, business). Currently she is researching women and sport. She forms part of the Communication research team (Communication, discourse and values). Her other areas of research interest is the analysis of literary discourse in the research area of the “vasco-románico”.
