The organising principles of the European Higher Education Area are quality, mobility, diversity and competitiveness, with a focus on the achievement of strategic aims, such as the adoption of a system of easily comparable degrees, assuring quality, structuring university studies into two levels (undergraduate and postgraduate) and implementing the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS credits).
The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences has a certified Internal Quality Assurance System, according to ANECA’s AUDIT guidelines. This system undergoes a continuous improvement process through the analysis of process indicators and the system defined for it.
One of the main aims of the University of Deusto is to meet the needs of all the members of the university community, with regard to the activities and services it offers.
In line with this aim, the Vice-Rector’s Office for Academic Organisation, Teaching Innovation and Quality has set the following commitments:
- Teamwork to continually improve the effectiveness of the Internal Quality Assurance System of Faculties, Functional areas and Services, thus increasing stakeholder satisfaction, which is measured within the framework for the establishment and review of the quality objectives, as defined by the management plans of Faculties, Functional areas and Services.
- Inform, motivate and involve the staff of the faculties, Functional areas and services, and students regarding the results being obtained.
- Optimise the management of these processes through continuous training of staff at the faculties, Functional areas and services, and adequately addressing stakeholders’ suggestions and complaints.
- Align and adapt processes to the requirements, needs and expectations of stakeholders of the faculties, functional areas and services and other legal or regulatory requirements that may be applicable.
